So far this winter has been the opposite of last year. It was colder in #vancouver than it was in #chicago! And it rain. Every. Day. Made me wonder if I had made a mistake. Sure, Chicago is miserable in the winter, but at least there are sunny days. And snow.
This year, it hasn’t rained as much and it has been downright balmy in Vancouver while Chicago has been on a roller coaster from a deep freeze to summer weather and back to cold again.
I still can’t get over boats in the harbor, or dogs splashing in the water this time of year. Little things like that bring a sense of wonder, give me pause to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of a different sort.
The balmy weather makes me think of spring, and with spring comes baseball!
