So back home, there are two social networking groups in which I was involved:
Social Media Club Chicago #smcchicago
Lake County Social Networking #lcsn
Met some fantastic people, and discovered my Twitter reputation often proceeded me, and almost seemed legendary. The volume and quality are both good, I’ve been told. And you can see why it’s been hard attending #smcyvr events without a data connection or wifi. Hence the reliance on Evernote.
See? Not everything is a hash tag! 😉
I’m back home for a bit to tie up a few gazillion loose ends, and it so happens that there was an #lcsn event tonight. Well, United Way of Lake County and Lake Effect event that welcomed a partnership with #lcsn. Alexandra Legit was the speaker, and she signed copies of her new book, too. Pictured of which are on the other phone.
Argh.
Anyway. Slipped into old habits and just tweeted away. Rather interesting hoe quickly one slips into old habits, old rolls. It’s calming and infuriating at once.
So I tweeted and thus has no Evernote note. And that, actually is kind of a bummer. It’s a little harder to go back and look at things, observations made and what not. Sure it’s nice to have the engagement, but there’s just something a little more lasting in an Evernote than a volume of tweets.
Less gets lost in an Ever note note, and that seems to add something beneficial to the experience.
Is it possible moving to #vancouver has changed, even slightly, my Twitter habits? Or is this a step in the evolution of a communicator/writer?
